TotalMTB has been working with @leightonvans for a few years now & they’ve been awesome in supporting us, I couldn’t thank them anymore.
They’ve said I can take out a van as & when I need to for bike events & trail centres which would help massively taking my bike & when I’ve got extra stuff to give out to people.
Not only would it help me with more storage space & easier to take the bike but I would be getting content & documenting having the van on social media as well as people seeing it out & about.
This for anyone & including me is a dream offer BUT the problem is I’m battling is my anxiety & it’s been over a year now!!
I really want to do it & take a van out and I know I’d love it, but the anxiety around it is just too much currently & unfortunately it’s winning.
What I’m anxious about….
– it’s 35 mins away (it may not seem a lot)
– I’ve never driven a bigger car then a focus and I’m worried about driving it on country roads & motorways with the size
– Parking
– General scrapes or scratches as it’s worth a lot (even though I’m 99% sure nothing would happen)
– Any break ins while out or at home
– I don’t want to be so anxious the first time that I make myself ill & don’t go anyway with it & look silly to LV
– Sorting the paperwork out & stuff in the office
– I’m worried my anxiety may put LV off letting me use one
I know how much I’d love it once I got into using one, it’s just that first step that’s so difficult.
I just don’t want to make a fool of myself and/or mess up.
I do think I could be of benefit to LV by taking a van places to help market it and taking photos for socials but it’s so difficult battling the above.
I really do hope soon I can push past the anxiety & start taking a van out
It’s makes me so frustrated when it prevents me from doing & experiencing things I know I’d enjoy ????♂️????????

PARTNERS
TotalMTB for me is a great organisation that helps give back to the mountain biking community. Helps bring awareness to something that most people can’t see within a friend or family member. Mental health is something to be mindful about. Health mind, health life.Blake Samson
Mountain biking is vital to my mental health, and I think it's rad how TotalMTB is spreading their message and building a community around this topic. It doesn't matter who you are, everyone is going through something and knowing you're understood and supported goes a long way.Mark Matthews
It gives me great pleasure to support the TotalMTB community. These guys do so much in the global cycling community to help people that need it most in an area most people struggle to talk about. I'll always be backing TotalMTB and anyone who stands alongside them.Ben Moore
