Floe Gloves

Now a days I find most mountain bikers have more than one pair of gloves some for summer, winter and in between, Alpkit’s new Floe Gloves seem to be bucking this trend as they are an all year round, all weather and all trail set of gloves!

They are seriously impressive not just because you can wear them for any weather and any trail but because of the great price for a set of gloves that have been impressively thought out.

The features and details running through this gloves is impressive but like anything its ok having and boasting about the features but the proof in when you actually take them out for a ride.

To be honest I was sceptical purely because of the price, I really didn’t think a company could make some gloves with all the features for that price while still keeping the quality.

The only thing I can say is I was very pleasantly surprised, the grip, feel, comfort and fit was just as described, it ventilates very well and you have a wipe material on the top of the thumb to wipe sweat or your nose.

Admittedly I have to wait to the UK’s harsh winter so see how they perform when it really is cold and wet and there isn’t to much in the form of warmth from this glove but I wouldn’t be surprised if they again prove me wrong.

Please take a closer look the Floe Gloves here.

Further Info

Those big trail centre days, what are they really about? Rough terrain? Keeping on your toes? Demanding climbs? The rewards of those exhilarating descents? Let’s face it – if you wanted comfort, you’d stay on your armchair. That said, a little bit of comfort never went amiss…

All-day riding takes its toll on your hands. Floe MTB gloves are geared at balancing the grip and dexterity you need for precise handling with the comfort and protection that makes you feel good about the descents.

The stretchy spandex back and hook and loop adjustor cuffs allow you to get a close fit for minimum slip when the gloves are on. The middle and index fingers are pre-curved to give you excellent dexterity, with silicon print grips for better grip when braking.

The super grippy Nash leather palm is tough enough to deal with you tearing it round the trails, with zoned palm padding to give extra comfort where you need it. Ventilation holes in the palm keep the air flowing and your hands dry. The thicker Nash leather palm, spandex back, and slightly longer cuff give you good coverage, making the Floe MTB gloves ideal for year-round use.
