Osprey - Raven 14

Bright, Spacious, padded fitting. 2.5L bladder.

Always on the search for a good biking backpack???? Look no further! The Osprey Raven 14 is the one for you. Made for women who were born to explore. It’s lightweight, its comfortable, and for once its got plenty of room for all your biking essentials.

I’m not the type of woman who carries a bag with me when I ride.. I like the feeling of being free and being able to get loose down the trails without a heavy bag on my back. From my past experiences with having a backpack I was not convinced that it was for me, the bladder always ended up leaking, and my back just gets way too sweaty. So I thought I’d give the Osprey Raven 14 a chance.. and here’s my thoughts!

A bag thats designed for women ✔️ Perfect! When fastened it sits comfortably on your back as a petite woman this has always been an issue for me.. but this bag is the perfect fit. It also includes a back protector which is amazing for us women who mtb! It’s not too hot on your back but like every bag It’s going to be a little hot.

The main feature I was amazed by was the detachable Tool Wrap. Its clipped onto the pocket at the bottom of the bag, It’s got plenty of room for all the tools you’ll need for any type of ride. Once theres any problems with the bike all you have to do is unclip it and roll it out. Simple.

This bag holds a 2.5L bladder which is pretty impressive also ideal for a xc ride on a hot day. Once I filled the bladder I tested the bag to see if it was too heavy for me and by surprise it wasn’t. The straps had plenty of padding which meant it wasn’t rubbing against my shoulders whilst I was riding. This is the first bag with a 2.5L bladder i’ve tried that’s 100% thought of the riders comfort. After a couple of months of trying out the bag, I found that the bladder didn’t start to leak and there was no sign of it wearing out. Amazing.

This bag is not only great for biking.. I also managed to get the chance to go hiking with this bag on my back.. and I approve. Its lightweight, got plenty of room for extra layers and food! Perfect.

The bag and bladder are both the same Osprey quality as expected. The whole bag has obviously had a lot of hard work put into it and thats down final little detail. It’s obvious to me that the designer of this bag has put a lot of thought into it, every little detail on this bag just makes it the one for any woman rider.

Further Info

Osprey have obviously included a lot of small but very clever design choices which to me made the bag the one. There’s a small pocket at the top of the bag, a larger one in the middle and then at the bottom there’s a pocket that the tool wrap clips into.

To me the pockets were very spacious, ideal for a long xc ride. The bladder is located in a separate pocket to everything else which is great, this leaves me with no worries that all my other stuff would get wet.

All in all, I’m actually really pleased to say I’ve found the perfect bag. The colour is amazing and the level of comfort is also amazing. To be able to ride smoothly with no worries about the bag on my back is a great feeling. Being able to carry stuff around with me is also great seeing as I do enjoy riding solo after a hard day in work.

Thank you Osprey for creating a Masterpiece. Osprey Raven 14.
